Passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 11th, 2022, his soul restored. Loving husband of Cristal and devoted daddy to Benicio (Benny), beloved son of Richard and Linda, and an amazing brother to Heather (Joey) and Matthew. He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly, a void that is felt by all. Ricky was greeted at the gates by his Grandma Patricia, Grandpa Richard (Jack), Busia and Dziadzia, Great Uncle Barney, Uncle Bob and Aunt Pat. A warm-and big-hearted man, Ricky touched everyone he met, proving that love never fails. Ricky had a dry sense of humor and he knew how to make you laugh if you really listened. Cooking was one of his passions and he relished making Fettuccini Alfredo or a steak to perfection for his family. Sunday was their special family day where he made his family breakfast, like brioche French toast with plenty of bacon, and playing Pokémon with his son, a passion they both shared. Ricky acquired many talents, from being an outstanding athlete during high school to having an aptitude for the arts, including painting, poetry, and writing. He became an accomplished chef learning alongside family. He was also a fine craftsman working alongside his Dad building homes and remodels for many. His life, laughter, and love will live on in those who loved him. Until we meet again sweet Ricky, your memories will be with us forever, always in our hearts, never forgotten. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 at 10am at Our Lady of Solitude, 151 W. Alejo Rd., Palm Springs followed by inurnment at Welwood Murray Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Please make donations in Ricky's name to Humane Society of the Desert, 17825 N Indian Canyon Dr, North Palm Springs, CA 92258 www.orphanpet.com/donate/ or Our Lady of Solitude Church, https://www.osvhub.com/olsps/giving/funds
