Vernon "Keith" Bell, 91, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away on December 9, 2022. Born in Fairfield, Iowa, the second of nine children to Franklin L. and Geneva (Davison) Bell. Keith was known for being industrious, having high integrity, and performing quiet acts of kindness. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was distinguished with two Bronze Stars. After the war, Keith married Rosalyn Carolan, his wife of 68 years. In 1960 he and his young family moved so he could attend the University of Florida. Upon graduating, the family moved to Miami, where Keith began his career as an investigator for the State of Florida, culminating in his appointment as the Administrator for the FL Dept. of Professional Regulation in Tallahassee, retiring in 1993. Keith is preceded in death by his wife, Rosalyn, infant son, Morgan; parents, brothers Raymond, Glen, and Frank; and sisters Lois Sasseen and Shirley Luzadder. He is survived by his sons, Michael (Joan), Mark (Lynda), Mitchell (Martyne), David (Adrienne), and daughter Mary Ann; ten grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; brothers Rodger, Tom, and Terry; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 6, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Tallahassee, FL, followed by inurnment at the Tallahassee National Cemetery.
